Individually programmed remaps as no two MINIs are the same. Giving peace of mind to know your MINIs potential is being unleashed. Simply connect your laptop to your MINI, download your ECU data and email it to us here at EssentialMINI. We will work on your file (you can still drive your MINI while we work on your file) and email it straight back to you for you to upload.

This modification is fully reversible as you will still hold the original file, being particulary useful for dealership visits. All you need is a Windows operated laptop and an OBDII data cable. We can supply all programs, drivers and full instructions to carry out this modification. There is no limit on how many times you can upload and download files to your MINI ECU.

We can make files for standard MINIs, but also make files for more extreme modifications from modified cylinder heads, upgraded inductions kits and sports exhausts to nitrous kits, uprated injectors and more.

We modify the Air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, and DSC optimization; 7200 RPM rev limit; speed limiter and cooling fan activation points altered (O2 sensor modification, if necessary)

Note- Due to the adaptive nature of the ecu, it will take 600 miles/2 to 3 tank fulls of fuel to notice complete power figures listed. 98 RON fuel must be used at all times to obtain above figures. 95-97 RON Fuel files can be ordered, but power figures will fall slightly as a result.

Well got the works re-mapped yesterday and may i just say the grin factor has now gone from 10/10 up to about 12/10. Many thanks to Essentialmini for supplying the new map.... ....Seriously, whatever kind of mini you drive i would recommend having a re-map done,what a difference it has made to mine and as the results get better after approx 500 miles- i cant wait!

Thanks again for completing the MTH re-map on Douglas! Your customer service is exceptional and you make a good cup of tea to boot! I was a little skeptical about the re-map at first. In all honesty I didnt know whether or not I would notice any difference in the performance, and I was a little worried about parting with my cash! However having had it done I can say that the difference it makes is noticeable in a most grin inducing way! Theres more power in the low and mid range; and that power is just there, teetering on the edge waiting to be applied when you need it, or when you just want it! I love my Cooper, hes my pride and joy. The first time I drove him before I bought him, it brought a massive smile to my face; this re-map has just doubled my smile. Its not been done that long, but Im really looking forward to these next few hundred miles, more so than I was before! I'd just like to recommend this to anyone! For all the Cooper & ONE owners out there it just makes your baby a little more responsive, and gives you the low end grunt you might feel you're lacking. For the Cooper S owners .. I'm jealous ... but I have my baby where I want him now and it's fab ... but I bet an MTH re-map will work its magic on your pride and joy as well. Stop thinking about it and go for it.
